Use An International Phone Card - More Than Just Saving Money

I use an international phone card or long distance calling card almost daily.

It is not that I am cheap, I just find many advantages to using an international prepaid phone card over normal long distance carriers. Instead of a cheap international calling card, I sometimes purchase the more expensive international phone calling cards for better quality.

Once a friend asked me, “Why do you use international phone cards?”

Actually, there are a number of reasons why I use an international phone card to make phone calls and I am more than happy to share the reasons for their use. The convenience offered from the use of international phone cards is the primary reason why I use them, but there are money saving reasons to use international phone cards as well. In fact, saving money is a good reason alone to use an international prepaid calling card.

When I use international phone cards, it doesn’t matter where I am; the card is good for any kind of phone call I need to make.

Since I can use the international phone card wherever and whenever I want or need to, international phone cards are a fantastic convenience. I can use international phone cards if there is an emergency and I need to get a hold of someone to assist me, or I can use the international calling card to place leisure phone calls to friends and family, even if I am halfway across the globe.

I also like the fact that international phone cards allow me to choose the phone calling rates I use; because I use the cards I am not forced to rely on the long distance carriers that offer far higher rates.

Plus, I can use the international phone card from any phone; whether it is land based or cellular; so, if I run out of minutes on my cell phone or if I am looking to keep myself from going over my allotted cell phone minutes for the month, I can simply use the international phone card to keep my cell phone bill to a minimum.

An international calling card is not necessarily only useful for making international calls.

Many times, the rates on an international phone card for domestic calls are very competitive also. So instead of using a regular long distance carrier, or maybe several different long distance telephone cards, I often will just use the international calling card am carrying. It sure beats calling collect from a payphone.
